Privacy and cookies
What this site does and does not do with your information. Short version: the calculators never see your figures, and nothing is stored about you.
Your salary never leaves your browser
This is the part worth saying first, because it is unusual and it is the thing people worry about. Every calculation on this site runs in your own browser. What you earn, your tax code, your pension, your student loan: none of it is sent to us, none of it is logged, and none of it is stored. We could not read it if we wanted to.
You can check that yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the network tab, and open the take-home pay calculator or any other tool here. You will see no request carrying your figures, because there is no server here to send them to. The whole site is static files.
Cookies
Advertising
There is none. This site carries no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. If that changes, this page will change with it and you will be asked before any cookie is set.
What we do not use
No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no session recording, no fingerprinting, no advertising cookies of our own. No accounts, so no passwords and no email lists.
Information handled by others
Two suppliers necessarily see technical information when you visit, in the same way they would for any website:
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attack. It processes your IP address and basic request details to do that.
- 20i hosts the files. Standard server logs record IP addresses and requested pages.
Neither receives anything you type into a calculator, because that never leaves your device.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. In our case the honest answer is that we hold none: there are no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no database.
There is no advertising data, because there is no advertising. Technical logs are held by our suppliers under their own policies and are not used to identify anyone.
There is no contact address published here yet. If you need to reach someone about this site, that is a gap and it is being fixed.
